Shampoo Bars | Instructions and Suggestions
Make sure the hair is wet enough!
Wet the bar and rub between your hands to soften and start the lathering process, then rub the bar directly on to the hair and scalp in circular motions. Put the bar down then follow your standard shampoo pattern massage technique. Apply a little more water(semi rinse) Pick up the bar again for a final rub onto hair and scalp using the same initial circular motions. Rinse bar and replace onto its tin lid or drainage rack.
Rinse well!
Remember shampoo bars are concentrated products packed
full of luxurious cleansing and conditioning ingredients and our bars are particularly creamy. This means they require a decent and thorough rinse to remove al residue from the hair.
Store your bar correctly!
Shampoo bars are not soap, therefore not as hard as soap. They cannot be left sitting wet on a solid surface. However they do dry very quickly, just place them on wooden or wire draining rack or alternatively on their original packaging tin lid.
Conditioner Bars | Instructions and Suggestions
Make sure the hair is wet enough! Remember this is a solid concentrate so needs the added water to liquify the bar and release the conditioning ingredients. Wet the bar and rub between your hands to soften and release the conditioning components. Rub the bar directly on to the hair in a downwards motion pushing the bar against your other hand, smoothing the bar down and along the hair shaft. This helps to smooth and close the hair cuticle. Continue with this motion until hair feels suitably slippy and lightly coated. Put the bar down then follow your standard conditioner pattern massage technique. Apply a little more water(semi rinse) Pick up the bar again for a final rub onto hair and milk through from root to tip. Rinse bar and replace it onto its tin lid or drainage rack. Comb through well to spread the conditioner evenly. It will not have the same feel as regular cream/liquid conditioner however they do the job, perhaps even better as they are directly filling the hair with concentrated conditioning ingredients! 2 . Rinse well! Remember conditioner bars are concentrated products packed full of luxurious conditioning ingredients such as butters and oils, this means they require a decent and thorough rinse to remove all residue from the hair, especially at the root area. 3. Store your bar correctly! Conditioner bars although more solid than shampoo bars cannot be left sitting wet on a solid surface. However they do dry very quickly, just place them on a wooden or wire draining rack or alternatively on their original packaging tin lid.
